Nancy Monesson Obituary

Nancy Monesson passed away on September 3, 2024, at the age of 98 in Portland, OR. Born on August 28, 1926, Nancy spent over four decades living on her cherished farm in Frederick, MD, with her late husband, Morris Monesson. In 2021, she moved to Portland to reside with her daughter, Leslie Robinson.

Nancy was a small housing loan expert at the FDA in Washington, DC, where her work supported many families in securing their homes. Additionally, Nancy was an accomplished quilter and enjoyed gardening and cooking, bringing beauty and warmth to both her home and community.

She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Robinson, and son-in-law, Stephen Robinson; grandchildren, Shaina Boal (Matthew Boal) and Ben Robinson (Briana Whitehead) of Portland, OR, and Chris Spohn (Jill Spohn) of Nazareth, PA; great-grandchildren, Charley Boal, Ari Boal, Audrey Spohn, and Maggie Spohn; along with six stepchildren and a large extended family worldwide. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Monesson, and son, Chris Spohn.

Nancy Monesson will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her profound kindness, and her enduring contributions to both her family and her community.
