Nathaniel Willis Obituary

WILLIS Nathaniel "Nate" Eugene Willis, Sr. entered into eternal rest peacefully surrounded by loved ones at his home in New Orleans, LA on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the age of 50. Son of the late Walter and Doris Willis. He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his loving wife, Francell Willis; three sons: Gerrell Willis, Sr., Nathaniel E. Willis, Jr. and Morris Smith; three daughters: Gernada Willis, Mornica Smith and Morchell Smith; four sisters: Janice Cole, Ella (David) Harris of San Francisco, CA, Verlene Johnson and Joyce Willis (Alvin) Harris; two grandchildren: Myrie Goins and Gerrell Willis, Jr.; one godchild, Kendrel Willis; godfather, Jonathan Parsee; mother-in-law, Evelyn Jones; 10 brothers-in-law; 3 sisters-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one sister, Eloise Willis; one brother, Charles Willis and two brother-in-laws: Harry Cole and Joseph Johnson. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastor, officers and members of First Agape Baptist Church and all neighboring churches, employees of Express Courier Services, Loews Hotel, Sheraton Hotel, Chateau Sonesta Hotel, Fairmont Hotel, Members of Single Men and Single Ladies Social and Pleasure Clubs, The Zulu Social and Pleasure Club, the Go Getters, The Big Dawgs, The Diamond Cutters II, Voices for Social and Pleasure Clubs, The Scene Boosters Club, Kool and the Gang S&P Club, and all other Social and Pleasure Clubs are invited to attend the Homecoming Celebration at D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Ave. on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Eddie M. Payne, pastor officiating. Interment: Providence Memorial Park.
