Ozema Joseph Prestenbach

Ozema Joseph Prestenbach, 71, entered into enteral rest on Monday, October 21, 2024. Mr. Prestenbach was a native of New Orleans and lived in Waggaman. A member and Deacon at Saint John Paul II Church and a member of the the Knights of Columbus. He loved fishing, gardening and pedaling in and around his garage. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. The loving husband to Ann Hogg Prestenbach for 45 yrs. He was the adoring father of Eric Prestenbach, Adam Prestenbach (Nicole), John Paul Prestenbach (Tiffany Kramer), Jeremy Prestenbach (Miranda Yeargin) and the late Ozema Prestenbach Jr. The doting grandfather to Haliegh Danford (Andrew), Kady Prestenbach, Dylan Prestenbach, Erin Fairchild, Connor Prestenbach, Harlie Laggett, Ava-Ann Prestenbach and Bryce McPhate; great-grandfather to Isabelle and Charlottee Danford, Theodore Bienvenu and Parker Leggett. He was the son of the late Leon Prestenbach and Moricia Adams Prestenbach. He was the brother to Peter Prestenbach and Elizabeth Prestenbach, the late Morris Prestenbach, the late Leona Prestenbach, the late Leon Prestenbach Jr., and the late Rose Prestenbach. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 31, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Saint John Paul II, 6851 River Road, Waggaman LA. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow in Westlawn Memorial Park, 1255 Whitney Ave., Gretna, LA.
