I'm deeply distressed to read, just now, of Paul's death. I taught him at St. Ben, and I still think he was one of the finest men I encountered during the years (off and on from 1968 to 1987) when I taught there. He was remarkably thoughtful, deeply engaged in his studies, resolutely manly and Christlike in his character. He asked me, as he was about to graduate in 1985, whether he should proceed to the major seminary, and I told him he'd make a fine priest. And I'm sure he was so. May he find a place close to the throne of God!

Dear Fr. Paul,
Jim and I and our children were fortunate to have you as our pastor at St. Andrew the Apostle and our friend. Rest in peace. You have fought the good fight and God needed you to come home.

Father Paul was the Pastor at St. Andrews when I first met him. He presided over my daughter´s first communion. I will never forget his homily. It was perfect. Unfortunately, he was the Pastor when my father was murdered. But not really. He could not have brought more peace to our family at such a horrible time, especially to my mother. He was so kind. He came and check on my mother every day. He gave her comfort. We will be forever grateful for that comfort.
