Paul Wang Sr.

Paul Bazile Wang, Sr. passed on Wednesday October 19th, 2022. He was a decorated Vietnam Veteran who proudly served his country as a member of the 1st and 9th air mobile cavalry. Paul had a deep love for his country and was strongly committed to supporting Veteran causes especially the Disabled American Veterans Association (DAV). An avid golfer and pool player, Paul was deeply devoted to his family. Paul met Susan when they were children in Harahan and quickly realized she was both his best friend and the love of his life. Paul married Susan 52 years ago before heading to Vietnam and they have never left each other's side since his return. Together they raised three loving sons and six loving grandchildren. Paul was deeply involved in his childrens' lives, from coaching little league, to teaching them to hunt, fish, and throw a baseball. He was a devoted grandfather who adored his grandchildren and was willing to do anything for them. A mentor, hero, and a solid rock for his family. Paul was respected and loved by everyone that knew him. His loss will be deeply felt by everyone. Paul was the son of Mr. Bazile and Sarah Wang, and was the loving son-in-law of Clifford and Myrna Friloux. Paul is survived by his wife Susan; his son Paul his wife Julie Wang and their children Ella and Eric; his son Christopher and his wife Erin and their children Julia and Christopher Jr.; and his son Matthew and his wife Summer and daughters Marissa and September. Family and friends are invited to attend a Visitation at St. Rita Catholic Church in Harahan on Wednesday, October 26th at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at noon. A Military tribute and Inurnment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery on City Park Ave. In lieu of flowers, Paul and his family request contributions to the DAV Chapter 37 in Jefferson, LA.
