Pearl Louise Bailey Scott departed this life on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late John Henry Scott II. Loving daughter of the late Wesley Bailey and Ruby Levy Bailey. Devoted mother of John (Andrea) Scott and Dwayne (Rebecca) Scott. Sister of Andrey Jackson, Thelma Hall, Richard Bailey, and the late Gloria Larks, Otis Bailey, Alvin Bailey, and Dauf Bailey. Pearl is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers and members of Pleasant Zion Baptist Church are invited to attend a Funeral Service honoring the life of Pearl Louise Bailey Scott at Pleasant Zion Baptist Church, 3317 Toledano St. New Orleans, LA 70125 on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 11:15 am. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am until 11:15 am. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery, 3540 Hwy 90 Avondale, LA 70094. Arrangements by D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 1020 Virgil Street Gretna, LA 70056. Pearl was a blessing to her family & friends. A devoted mother, member of the Woman's Missionary Union and choir at Pleasant Zion. She had a beautiful singing voice. She will be missed! My deepest condolences & prayers to her family.
