Raul Victor Esquivel

On Thursday, June 23, 2016, Raul Victor Esquivel fulfilled his life here on Earth. Mr. Esquivel was the husband of his beloved, the late Clementine Boudreaux Esquivel. He was the son of late Manuel Esquivel and Evita Peraza Esquivel, and the brother of the late Carlos, Manuel and Renan Esquivel. He is survived by a son, Raul V. Esquivel Jr., daughter-in-law, Beatriz Ocampo and grandson Raul V. Esquivel,III, granddaughter Rachel Anne Esquivel, and step-granddaughter Tatiana Del LLano and granddaughter-in-law Kara Hoerner Esquivel. Mr. Esquivel is also survived by great granddaughters Chloe, Olivia, Ava and Margot Esquivel; sisters-in law Lucille Esquivel and Thelma Boudreaux Helmer; niece, (and caregiver), Jan Luke-Mule, nieces Karen Esquivel Mattingly, Rouge Helmer, and Georgia Helmer Salvant. He is further survived by nephews Rick, James, and Barry Esquivel and Craig Trosclair. Raul Esquivel will be greatly missed by the aforementioned family members and also by special friends Lionel Salvant, Jack and Barbara Newton, Fercy and Anna Zerangue, Pat Jackson and many others. The family wishes to express heart-felt thanks to Patricia Maroney for her devotion and special caregiver assistance to Mr. Esquivel. Raul Esquivel was proud to have served his country in both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army during World War II, and the U.S. Airforce during the Korean conflict. Mr. Esquivel proudly served the State of Louisiana as a career officer of the Louisiana State Police, rising to the rank of Lieutenant and head of the State Police Organized Crime Intelligence Division, and later to Executive Officer of Louisiana State Police, Troop B.
