Raymond Edward Garofalo Sr.

GAROFALO Raymond Edward Garofalo, Sr passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 16, 2009 at the age of 81. Son of the late Anthony and Mary Garofalo. Husband of the late Jean R. Garofalo. Beloved father of Raymond E. Garofalo, Jr. and the late Robert E. Garofalo. Father-in-law of Joan S. Garofalo and Patricia Garofalo. Loving Grandfather to Robert, Jr., Randy, Raymond, III, Rayne and Remy Garofalo. Brother of Caroline and Hilda Garofalo, Helen Guidry and Bertha "Bea" Bajorek. Mr. Garofalo attended LSU and a 1953 graduate of Loyola University. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War in the U.S. Navy and served for many years in the Naval Reserve. He retired as a Commander. He was a Computer Systems Analyst for Shell Oil Company for 28 years until his retirement. He was active and full of life until the day of his passing. He will be remembered for his kindness and caring for others. He was a grandpa to many and was loved and respected by all who knew him. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 6363 St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana, on Saturday October 24, 2009 at 11 AM.
