Richard Sherman Obituary

Richard Alan Sherman, age 70, passed away on May 21, 2024, a dedicated, loving man of integrity. Richard is survived by his wife, Elise Papa Sherman "Lisa", children, and grandchildren: Courtney Sherman Lane (Casey), Mikey, Sheppard, Elise, and Shelby; Steven; Benjamin (Lauren), Benji, Natasha, and Caitlyn; and Alan (Rachel), Mason, and Sara. Richard is also survived by his brothers, David (Jane) and Peter (Simonne), his sister, Ruth Sherman Gottlieb (Jon), brothers-in-law, Joseph Papa (Celeste) and Thomas Papa (Florence), and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a gathering at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Friday, July 26, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The interment will immediately follow the gathering in Metairie Cemetery.
