Robert Norman Obituary

Robert Henry Norman, aged 86, departed this life peacefully on Saturday, April 5, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents Cecilia and Henry, his brother Edgar and an infant son, Stephen. Robert was a native of New Orleans and resident of Metairie. He attended Francis T. Nichols High School. He then served in the United States Navy and then graduated from L.S.U. Robert worked for Entergy (L.P.& L.) as a Sales Manager, retiring after more than thirty years of service. Robert was the beloved and devoted husband of Geraldine Creal Norman and father of Michael (Elaine), Cynthia (Richard), David Norman and Cherie N, Saucier. He was the cherished grandfather of George (Linda), Thomas, Chance, Royce, Evan, Austin and Savanah. He was loved and will be missed by sister-in-law, Elsie B. Norman. Memorial Visitation will be Wednesday October 15th, 2014 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with Funeral Services at 4:00 pm. Inurnment will follow with Military Honors in Metairie Cemetery. In his memory, donations may be made to the American Heart Society. The family invites you to share your thoughts, fond memories and condolences online at www.lakelawnmetairie.com.

I have fond memories of Mr. Bob and all the times he treated me like family, especially out at the camp. I even remember a class trip to Entergy when he talked me through climbing up that high tower. My condolences to all of his family whom I consider family !!! Love y'all !!!! B
