Roland Hassenboehler Obituary

HASSENBOEHLER Roland Emile Hassenboehler, beloved husband of Olga Rossie Hassenboehler, died Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at age eighty-seven of complications from a stroke. He is survived by his sister, Yvette H. Levata; and four children: Jimmie Hassenboehler, Tom Hassenboehler, Jeanne H. Cope and Barbara H. McAuliffe; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was born in New Orleans, LA in 1919, graduated from Warren Easton High School, and attended Delgado College. He served in the Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a a member of the 24th Infantry Division. Mr. Hassenboehler was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He owned and operated Harol, Inc. in Harvey, Louisiana, a steel construction business until his retirement to his bayou home in Lafitte, LA. He was a member of SLAC of New Orleans. Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Service from the Metairie Funeral Home of LAMANA-PANNO-FALLO, 1717 Veterans Blvd., at Bonnabel Blvd. on Monday, June 4, 2007 at 12:00 noon. Followed by interment in St. Louis #3 Cemetery. Visitation on Monday, June 4, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time. Please sign On-Line Guest Book at www.legacy.com.
