Praying for you Mills family. Russell Mills,Jr. was one of the most brilliant guys who grew up in Central City. He was a charismatic and unselfish lover of people. And anyone who knew Russell, for a minute, knew you would get his unsolited opinion on any subject. But we have to be honest and acknowledge, there was some truth in what Russell said. It was hard arriving on Xavier's campus as a Central City person, finding Russell already there. He designated himself as my campus "Big Brother." He'll be fondly remembered by those who knew him.Mills family, keep the faith. family.

Mr. Russell will be missed. He was someone I looked up to and I consulted concerning my studies. He was truly a blessing to my life. I couldn't understand why I drew near to him and later I found out that he graduated from BTW with my parents. He and my dad were good friends at one time. I'm glad I got to know him and I pray that the Lord blesses his soul.

As the instructor for a course in which Mr Mills was a student in Fall, 2013 I came to know him and enjoy his observations and other contributions to discussions. In addition, I enjoyed his phone calls, and informal conversations on campus. He spread smiles and will be missed.

I can remember our last conversation when you told me how you considered me a friend. You said, Trenese when you get my age most of your friends are gone home or don't remember who you are. We laughed about it. You always gave encouraging words and made it your business to always check on me. I will truely miss you. Rest on Mr. Russell.

Russell; you were a true source of inspiration, always a kind word, and a true peer. I can truly speak for all when i say your going to be truly missed. SUNO has most definitely lost a honor student, a SPESA spokesman, and a darn good friend. I mourn your leaving,,, Gone too soon. But I heard God was looking for a solider, and that you were. God Bless your wife and family. "RIP"
