I didn't have the privledge of knowing Mr. Russell well, but what I did know was that he loved life. He loved it and lived it to the fullest and fought hard to stay in it as long as he could.
He was such a happy person who always had a smile on his face. He brought such joy to those who knew him.
He may be gone, but his legacy will live on in everyone who loved him. No one can ever take away your memories, especially the one's you were lucky enough to make in those last couple weeks. Cherish those always until the day you are reunited again. Even though you cannot see him, he is always with you!

It is with great sadness that I learned of Russel's death. He & I had become very good friends, as I was also a friend of Joycelyn's I had hoped to see him @ some of the Tulane baseball games, but was never able to do so. I send my deepest regrets to all the members of the family. He was a good friend of mine. I am presently in McKee Ky, so will not be able to attend the services.
