Said Nicola Rafidi

RAFIDI Said Nicola Rafidi passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at the age of 83 years young at heart. Beloved husband of Blanca Rafidi. Son of the late Nicola Rafidi and Zaheia Rafidi. He is the loving father of Rafael Rafidi (wife Gina), Suzanne Rafidi Stratikis (husband George), and Edward Rafidi (wife Kelley). Brother of Jaser Rafidi, and the late Sahdala Rafidi, Yasmine Rafidi, and Basem Rafidi. Grandfather of Brooke, Blake, Alexis, Avyn, Dimitrios, and Nikolaos. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Said N. Rafidi was a great man who raised his children to live by the example of Christ. He was a wonderful husband to his wife, provider for his family, and friend to many. He is remembered most for his dedication to his family and his sense of humor. Relatives and friends, also Catholic Knights, parishioners of St. Francis Cabrini, and patrons of Lakeshore Shoe Repair, are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Benilde Church, 1901 Division St., Metairie, LA 70001, on Thursday June 2, 2011 at 12 noon. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans, LA. Visitation will be Thursday from 10 am until funeral time. In lieu flowers, please send memorial donations to St. Benilde Church.
