It was an honor and a privilege to have Scott as my big brother. I know I will continue to miss him every day of my life. He positively impacted so many lives, and enjoyed every minute of it. God bless and welcome Scott.

My condolences to the Steckler family. St. Mary of the Angels parishioners, especially the choir, will miss his jovial disposition and his continued "thumbs up". "Mr." Steckler, as many of us called him, was a very humble man who never boasted about his status in life. He is now an angel in God's heaven, and we are thankful for our time spent with him. May God bless you.

Dr. Steckler was a wonderful friend, educator, and administrator. He will be missed by many people of all ages. Sandie taught children in the Gifted Program in the late 80 's. and chose to go back to George Cox when she had to be itinerant after Katrina. We send our heartfelt condolences to y'all at this difficult time. Bill and Sandie Chass (Morris)

To find someone who truly cares about their students is hard in a school system today, and someone who still keeps in contact with you after you leave their school. Dr.Steckler has touched my heart beyond measures. Shay and Cory I'm extremely sorry for your loss, but you all have a wonderful father, a very loving and humble father. I was honored and more than happy to have your dad and my picture on NOLA. I'll never forget him and how he has impacted my life throughout George Cox until now.
