Sharon Seals Huffman

Sharon Seals Huffman passed away at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the age of 69. She will be missed dearly by her husband of 40 years, David G. Huffman; her children, Matthew Huffman (Katie) and Margaret Huffman; and her granddaughter, Alaina Tris Huffman. Sharon was the daughter of the late Mason Seals Sr. and Olga Seals and the sister of Ellis Seals (Jeannette), Janet Chilton (Mike) and the late Mason Seals (late, Bobby), Kenneth Seals (Lois), Donald Seals (Kathleen), and Yvonne Byxbe (late, Felix). She will also be missed by many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. Sharon was a Licensed Practical Nurse beginning her career at Ochsner Hospital. She also worked at Slidell Memorial Hospital and several area nursing homes before finishing the last 17 years of her nursing career at East Jefferson Hospital. She retired from EJGH in 2017 and continued to work part time at Crescent City Surgical Center. She loved nursing and was beloved by patients and coworkers in return. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive Metairie, LA 70001 on Thursday, December 10, 2020. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am followed by service at 2:00 pm and a reception after in the funeral home. Masks are required and attendance will be limited to 150 people. The family is sensitive to the needs and feelings of their family and friends and are fully understanding and supportive if they decide not to attend the service due to health concerns.
