Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, with Brother Wayne Miller officiating. Burial: Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
Born in McKinney to Sol Marcus and Willie Lou Campbell Strickland Sr., he married Bonnie Moore Sept. 7, 1957, in McKinney. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors: Wife, Bonnie Strickland; brothers, Bobby Strickland of McKinney and Forrest Strickland of Weslaco; two brothers-in-law; four sisters; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and cousins.
