Stanley Williams Obituary

WILLIAMS Stanley Williams, Sr., age 88, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2011 in Natchitoches, LA. Stanley was born on January 8, 1923 in New Orleans, LA to Sam Williams and Georgiana Lewis Williams. Stanley was a retired fork lift operator at Williams B. Riley and Company Inc. He enjoyed dancing, bike riding and skating. Stanley is survived by his children: Gwendolyn Brown (Benny) of Colorado Springs, CO, Carolyn Carter of Kenner, LA Irene Pitts of Denver, CO and Stanley Williams Jr. of Metairie, LA; sister-in-law, Geneva Earl; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives. Preceded Stanley in death is his parents: Sam and Georgiana Williams; wife, Bernice Williams, who died in 2005; his daughter, Georgiana Hatch; twin brother, William Williams; brothers: Edward, Paul and Robert Williams; sisters: Jennette Harris and Hanna Williams; and a grandchild Lee Andrew Carter. Funeral Service will be held at Richardson Funeral Home, 11112 Jefferson Hwy., River Ridge, LA on Friday, September 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment: Providence Memorial Park, 8200 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA. Richardson Funeral Home of Jefferson in charge of arrangements.
