I was searching for Stephanie in Facebook lately, and had no luck. Now I know why. How sad. We met as children at Terrytown Academy, she was a good friend and our parents were good friends. I hope she is with Jesus and we will meet again one day.

During our days at ROA, Stephanie had the ability to brighten the day with a laugh and a smile. Stephanie was quick witted and brought her unique talents and personality to the drumline. My thoughts and prayers are with Stephanie and her family.

Stephanie has been our daughters (Donna) roomate at Capitol House since the begining of this year. When I visited last week we were told that Steph had gone for a procdure and would return shortly. We kept waiting for her return. She has returned home, but not to Capitol House. She's at peace and free from pain now. We'll miss her and will keep the family in our prayers.

Long ago I met Stephanie Chick. She was beautiful and unique. We fell in love and spent several wonderful years growing up together. Although we went our own ways we stayed in touch periodically. I had not heard from her in quite sometime, and hearing of her illness and passing floored me beyond words. I will miss her... she etched a part of her spirit on me.

"My candle burns at both ends,
It will not last the night.
But ah my foes, and oh, my friends-
it casts a lovely light."
