Steven Chambers

1965 - 2022

Steven Louis Chambers was born on March 4, 1965 and went to be with Jesus to his Heavenly Home on August 24, 2022. Steve was a kind, gentle, loving soul who was a people person. He loved to talk with everybody and he helped anyone he could. Steve was born in New Orleans & lived most of his life in Metairie. He was a talented Bass Guitarist and started playing music with his younger brother Kirk in the garage, their studio, at their childhood home on Kawanee Ave. They were 15 & 13 and always had their friends coming over to listen to them jam. Steve played the bass & Kirk played the lead guitar. Steve played for close to 40 years and traveled with various bands in his younger days to Chicago, Ohio, even Canada & various states. Steve loved going to eat at the various po-boy shops with his friends, watching movies and Television. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and all the parties and family get togethers, the Holidays with his many cousins & family members. Steve: is survived by his loving family: Parents Cathie Reich & Oscar Chambers, III his children, Catherine "Katie" Chambers & Steven "Louis" Chambers, Jr., Grandchildren Payton Warner, Melody Comardelle, Kennedy and Everly Chambers, siblings Kursti Chambers and Kirk Chambers. Also, many nieces, nephew Anthony, aunts & cousins. Preceded in death by his Grandparents, Estelle & Louis Reich. Steve cherished his family and the time spent with them. Steve loved God, knew his Bible, had a prayer language and always prayed before he ate. Steve was an organ donor and he helped at least 3 people with his donated organs. Organ donors are considered heroes. Please consider being an organ donor after all you can't' take your organs to Heaven, so please think about leaving them on Earth where more people can have a better-quality life and live longer. Steve's celebration of Life will be held at Munholland Methodist Church, Saturday the 17th at 11:00 the service will begin and the family would like you to celebrate Steve's life in the fellowship hall till 2:00.
