Susan Davis-Gegenheimer Obituary

Susan A. Davis-Gegenheimer, age 66, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2018 at West Jefferson Medical Center. Beloved wife for 20 years of Ellward "Buddy" Gegenheimer. Loving mother of Kenneth Weber, Jr. (Diane), stepmother of Jennifer L. Griffin (Matthew), Paul Gegenheimer (Jenny). Daughter of the late Edward S. Archer and Rita Chatelain. Step grandmother Jon Paul Gegenheimer and Landen Moore, Ashlei Blackburn (Jeremy) Callie McGee (Lance), and Sam Sibley. Step great grandmother of Sloane, Tatem, and Bennett. Susan was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA . A retiree (39 years) of Property Insurance Association of Louisiana. She was a member of Lady Bugs, Dinner Bells, and Southern Spice, Red Hat Society, Crescent City Corvette Club, and Greater New Orleans Corvette Club. She loved cruising by ship and corvette, Jazz Fest and French Quarter Fest. She was secretary for Trinity Lutheran Church, Algiers Point. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Trinity Lutheran Church, 620 Eliza St. Algiers, LA, 70114 on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 11am. A private interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Susan to be made to the American Cancer Society. Buddy, I'm so sorry for your loss. We will all miss this beautiful, sweet woman. I've known Sue 30 years and we sure had some fun together in the parades, Gulf Shores, and on cruises. She was the reason I decided to stay in the Irish parade all those years. She was smart, funny and beautiful inside and out. Now, she will watch over all of us as an angel.
