Sylvia Cotaya Morel passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015, at the age of 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Morel Sr. by second marriage and of the late Lionel Deimel Sr by first marriage. Step mother of Thomas J. Morel, Jr., (Frances), David R. Morel (Anne), Michael Morel, Gaye Lehr (Gary), and Marilyn Rodrigues (Davis). Mother of Lionel E. Deimel, Jr. Daughter of the late Mary and Julian Cotaya. Sister of Marie Cotaya, Julian Cotaya and the late Sylvester and Noel Cotaya. Grandmother of Jeffery Deimel. Also survived by 13 step grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. A lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA. Relatives and friends of the family, also members of Gretna Covenant Church are invited to attend A Funeral Service at Gretna Covenant Church, 101 11th Street, Gretna, LA, on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at 11 am.
