The Nguyen Obituary

Our beautiful boy, The Tai Huu Nguyen, passed away in New Orleans, LA, on July 30th, 2021. He was 24 years old and was born on June 18th, 1997, to Christie Morin Nguyen and Curtis Huu Nguyen. He is survived by his parents, Christie and Curtis Nguyen, his sister Chai Nguyen Domingues (Blake), nephew Luca Domingues, his other sister Asia Nguyen (Mitchell Byrne), his grandmother Nga Le. His aunts, Van, Thuy, Huong, and Suzanne, uncles Eddie, Shelton, Thanh, and Allen. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, including his 'Bro – Cuz' Rigel Morin, other relatives, and devoted friends. Tai had a smile that would light up the room as soon as he walked in. He had a way of making people happy and at ease, helping you find the bright side in even the darkest situations. He was a brave and loyal man who would do anything for the people he loved. Tai had a heart full of love, he expressed that love in the little things he did, whether it was fixing your appliances without you asking or bringing you food and a smile when you've had a long day. Tai found love and enjoyment in his work through helping others by problem solving and doing his absolute best on a job. During his leisure time he enjoyed golfing and fishing. He also loved to get away from everything once in a while by experiencing new things and traveling with his loved ones. Tai was a faithful and dedicated employee of C.T. Traina INC, as a plumber. The Tai Huu Nguyen is preceded in death by his grandparents Cynthia Fontenot Bradshaw, Merlin Edward Morin, and Loc Nguyen. Relatives and friends of the family, employees of C.T. Traina INC, are invited to attend Tai's final journey in this world as we celebrate his life on Saturday, August 7th, 2021, at Gentilly Baptist Church located at 5141 Franklin Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70122. The visitation begins at 8 a.m., and the celebration of life begins promptly at 9 a.m. Immediately following the service, the family invites everyone to participate in song and dance as we second line starting at Canal and N. Rampart Street and ending at St. Pat's Irish Coffee House located at 933 Conti Street, New Orleans, LA, 70112. In lieu of flowers, please honor Tai by showing an act of love and kindness in his name today. Due to COVID-19, everyone in attendance must wear a facemask or other proper facial covering and practice social distancing. So very heartbreaking. But I hope you are in perfect peace, Tai.
The few years we rode the bus in middle school you always made everyone laugh & smile. I hadn't seen much of you since then, but those afternoon bus rides are forever stored in my memories. I'll remember you smiling.
My most sincere condolences to the family & all those who loved him. I wish you ease & comfort on your grief journey.
