Tia Michele Brady, age 39, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016. Beloved sister of Tiffany B. Smith (Chris). Proud aunt of Mikayla, Isabella Rose, and Brandon Smith. Daughter of late Michael F. Brady and Darlene Brady Hudson and step daughter of Reggie Hudson. Loving stepsister to Noel Hudson (Kelly) and aunt to Katie Beth, Wil, and Klaire. She leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends to cherish her memory. Tia was an educator, counselor, and devoted Christian who lived the Gospel in every aspect of her life. Tia was active in her churches in both Louisiana and Texas. She sang in the choir, played hand bells, participated in and led youth groups, joined the women's ministry, and volunteered whenever the need arose. She ministered daily to her students, campers, coworkers, family, friends, and anyone she met. Tia was an avid sports fan who loved the New Orleans Saints, College Football and Basketball, and her alma mater, the Concordia University Tornadoes. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Memorial Baptist Church, 5701 Veterans Blvd., Metairie on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 4:00 pm. A visitation will take place prior to the service beginning at 1 pm at Memorial Baptist Church. Internment immediately following the service in LaPlace at St. John Memorial Gardens. I have fond memories of Tia's caring spirit. She was a friend to many at Concordia University Texas and much loved by fellow students, members of the faculty and administration. Her passing is a loss to the church community, but I am grateful for the memory of her Christian kindness and express my condolences to her immediate family and friends.

Tia was a bright twinkle in our lives. From her first"Hi", @ about seven months, she began a continuous lifetime of making people smile. She touched so many lives, and shared her Lord and Savior every chance she got! She had great courage in dealing with her own illness, but she showed it even more when her dad and mom dealt with their illnesses. We were blessed to care for Tia and Tiffany when Mike was so sick, and she never lost hope that a miracle would happen. Now her own miracle has come to pass, and she is surrounded by Mike, Darlene and the loving arms of Jesus. Tia, you will be missed, but the mention of your name will always bring a smile to our faces and thoughts of how you shared so much love. Rest in peace wonderful child of God! Love, Jerry and Dianne Hester
