My sincerest condolences to Mrs. Hicks' family. She was my coworker at Carter G. Woodson Jr. High School. When I was a new teacher, she and the ladies in the gym served as mentors to me. Because of their on point advice I had a successful teaching career of over 30 years. Rest in peace Mrs. Hicks.
