Ward Oubre Obituary

Ward Anthony Oubre, Sr. 48, died Thursday, August 2, 2007. A native of Lutcher, LA, and a resident of Hester, LA. Survived by his wife, Danielle Marie Roussel; son and daughter-in-law Ward Oubre, Jr. and Laura Oubre of LaPlace, LA; daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Nick Ring of Denham Springs, LA, Katie and Daniel Price of West Plains, MO, Kayla Oubre, and Summer Roussellof Hester, LA; sisters, Sheila Kliebert and Anna Mixon of Gramercy, LA. Also survived by eight grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Gilmore Joseph Oubre, Sr. and Anna Mae Gueret Oubre; and a brother, Gilmore Oubre, Jr. Visitation will be at Sacred Heart Church, Gramercy, La on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 from 8:00am until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Paulina, LA. ROSE LYNN FUNERAL SERVICES, LUTCHER, LA IN CHARGE OF ARRANGEMENTS.

I was saddened to read of Ward's passing. I went to high school with him and can still remember his smiling face. I also remember him spending lots of time at the Gramercy swimming pool. My prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
