William Baradell Jr.

1972 - 2021

William "Bill" Baradell, Jr., passed away on August 16, 2021, at the age of 49, with his wife by his side. He leaves behind his wife of 19 years, Monica Martinez Baradell and two daughters Nicole Amber and Sarah Claire who were his world. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late William, Sr. and Barbara Baradell on April 20, 1972. He was raised in Kenner and resided in Ponchatoula for the past 13 years. He is also survived by his sister Becky (Ty) Pathoumthong, nephews Tyler and Devin, niece Josie; sisters-in-law Michelle (David) Lester, Marie Martinez and Marsha Terry; nieces and nephews Corey (Amber), Carson, Cooper, Haylee, Jeremiah, Kevin III, Mackenzie, Michaela, Liam, Cortney, Kimberly, and Dylan. Bill was a Past Master / Sitting Master of Linwood-Ionic Lodge #167 F & A.M, Past D.D.G.M. of the 18th District, Past Monarch of the Farhad Grotto, Past Captain of the Bug Unit, and Past President of the Klown Unit. He was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, both Rachael Jackson Chapter #241 and Past Patron of Nova Stella Chapter #36. Bill was an Operations Supervisor for the OPCD and worked his entire career in emergency response and civil service positions. Relatives and friends are invited to the celebration of Bill's life on Saturday, August 21, 2021 beginning at 8:30am in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans followed by Masonic and Eastern Star Services starting at 11:00am. Interment in Masonic Cemetery on the corner of City Park and Bienville. All attendees are required to wear a facemask.
