Remembering you today, Dad. It's hard to believe another year without you. We think of you daily and have great memories of a loving family. Cesar and I spent today on the Coast, looking at all the old cars. I know you had a eye for a nice car. I can picture you out there, telling me what I was looking at the year, model, motor and you probably had one or worked on one, haha. You knew your cars!

Not only on a nationally recognized holiday such as Veteran's Day do we think about the time you sacrified for your country. Moreover, it is through your strength and courage that we may enjoy freedom and celebrate your dedication to this country everyday. You were a man of great accomplishments and only now as an adult can I appreciate you for passing all those wonderful characteristics to your granddaughter. Today you would be 82, so Happy Birthday, to our Dad. We celebrate the life you lived and blessing that you were to us. We enjoyed laughter, tears, your awesome cooking out back, family reunions and remember the nicknames you had for everyone you knew. I miss the days of bringing you Little Debbie honeybuns & apple fritters, by the dozens. You were always there for us to give advice in a few words, never spoke negative of anyone, a man of virtue rarest. You helped to make us who we are, Our DAD - The Best There Is!

To the Edmondson family, I regret only just now finding of Mr. Bill's passing. I also regret not having seen him for so long. My dad and brothers and I always looked forward to his visits to our stores when he was with NAPA. That is how I got to know him. He was a joy to be around, always smiling and pleasant. I'm sure my dad was there to welcome him to the afterlife, and like my dad, he will "speak" to you if you listen. May that give you the strength to endure your loss. Deepest condolences from the Himel family.

I was very sad to hear of "Papa's" passing. I'll always remember his love for his family and his smile as Amanda and I would non-stop laugh over "nothing". I know we didn't have a lot of time together, but the time we did share was special. I loved and nurtured you as if you were my own family, and would do it over and over if given the opportunity. I have shared so many stories about you the last few days with all the people you loved the most! You have made so many memories and you have raised a truly amazing family!! It seems very odd to not come and spend my nights with you. You always knew my loud mouth when I walked in the room! It was an honor take care of you in your final days. Rest in peace Mr. Bill. You were an amazing man and will be missed dearly!!

Even though it is great comfort knowing he is with the Lord and in no more pain, we are selfish wanting our loved ones with us on earth. The battle was fought like true warriors. Papa,
October 8th marks a day that I will never forget because it is the day you left your family here on earth, however, it is also the day that we celebrated because you joined nanny and the lord above. I will forever cherish the times we spent together and the amount of knowledge you shared with me. You helped mold me into the person I am today and for that I thank you. I want you to know I remember the times you made me laugh and the nicknames you gave everyone. I will miss picking you up Taco Bell and Cane's, and how about all those cookies. In addition, Cookie will have cookies for all your family and friends that come to honor your life and legacy on Saturday. I miss you and I will think about you everyday.
