To Denise, Will, David and Anne Monteleone,
Billy was a great friend and neighbor. I and my brothers Shea and Stuart loved him for his insight, humor, vision, kindness and friendship. We spent many hours together talking about school, football, girls and the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. He has been missed by me and many others because he was a people person. See you in heaven Billy!!

Hi I realize this message is really late however I will add this brief personal experience I had with BIlly during our 4 years of friendship in high school at Sam Barthe high school. Billy and I were close friends during those years actually not only did we attend 4 years of school together we both played football and were on the track team together. Our class during those 4 years consisted of 28 students from freshman year thru graduation. Billy and I spent time together running around. Billy had the wheels a old black Cadillac. We use to go to his boat house at the lake once in awhile to hangout or study for final exams. Not much studying done. Billy was a dear friend and will always cherish those memories we had together. He will never be forgotten. Miss you my friend Kenny Miller

Billy was truly a Gentle Giant! He gave his time to family, church and civic duties. It was indeed a pleasure to have known Billy from early days at Barthe to our graduation in 1970. Katrina exemplified his true caring for others during the most difficult time in our city. God Speed to the Monteleone family.

When I heard the news about Mr. Monteleone, my heart sank. For some reason I had been thinking about him the week before. I was wondering how he was doing since I last saw him, which had been years. I worked for him at RJI from 1989 until he left. He was the nicest man I had ever worked for. RJI was never the same after he left. My heart aches for his wife and son. However, I truly believe he is now at peace and that you will see him again someday.
