William O'Connor Obituary

William J. "Billy" O'Connor, Sr. passed away on Monday, July 21, 2014 at his home at the age of 80. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda O'Connor and his children, Toni O'Connor, William J. O'Connor, Jr. and Patrick J. O'Connor, his 3 grandchildren, Alan H. O'Connor, Nicholas J. O'Connor and Brigitte R. Asberry. He was retired after 52 years as a waiter from Saia's on the Lake in Bucktown. He was native of Ville Platte, La., and a resident of Metairie, La. for the last 54 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 11:00 am from the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, La. where the visitation will start at 9:00 am. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Online condolences may be offered www.gardenofmemoriesmetairie.com.

I'm so sorry so for your lose. Mr. Bill was always there if someone was needed to check on my mother during her time of illness and that will never beforgotten. The O'Connor's will always be part of a neighborhood family that has memories that will last a lifetime and Mr. Bill was a hugh part of that family. My prayers and condolences go out to the family.
