Willie Burks Jr.

BURKS Willie Burks, Jr., was a native of Ferriday, Louisiana, departed this life on Friday, January 13, 2012 at East Jefferson Hospital. Son of Minnie Burks and the late Willie Burks, Sr. He is survived by his devoted wife, Lillie Jefferson Burks; a son, Frederick Jefferson (Shannon); and two daughters: Cassandra Burks and Tiffany Burks. He is the grandfather of eight. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastor, officers and members of Cypress Grove M.B.C.; employees of Bunzl, Inc., and Ochsner Hospital are invited to attend the Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Church of God, Ministries International, 1763 Stumpf Blvd., Gretna, LA. Pastor Tom Kerry, officiating. Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. until service time. Interment: Restlawn Park Mausoleum, Avondale, LA. Arrangements entrusted to Richardson Funeral Home of Jefferson.
