Willie Joseph "Bill" Danos

Willie Joseph Danos (Bill), age 77, a proud veteran of the U.S. Army passed away unexpectedly, although peacefully in his home in Marble Falls, TX on May 25, 2024. Willie, a native of Lafitte, La., enlisted in the U.S. Army at the age of 18. He valued this service highly and attained the rank of Machine Gunner/Sargeant in the 1st Calvary during the Vietnam War. He lived with his family in Marrero, La. until retiring from the Shipyard Industry in 2006 and moved to Marble Falls, TX. He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Edna Maxine Nettle Danos and granddaughter Destini Danielle Danos. Willie is survived by his 3 children and 2 daughters-in-law, Troy & Christi, Michael & Delecia, and Malinda Danos; 3 grandchildren, Jonathan, Dominic, and Monet Danos; sister, Bernice Molina; countless cousins, nieces, nephews, long-time friends, and his 4-legged companion Bart-Bart. Willie was a selfless, devoted, loving provider, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. A longtime New Orleans Saints fan with deep religious faith and a love for gardening. He will be missed by all. The ashes of Edna Maxine Nettle Danos will be buried along with Willie to honor their collective wishes to rest together in peace. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Hwy. 1431, Marble Falls, TX beginning at 11:00 a.m. and ending at 12:30 p.m. Immediately following a graveside service with Military Honors will be held at the Lakeland Hills Memorial Park Cemetery located at Park Road 4, Burnet, TX.
