Mr. Sachs was so nice and friendly to the students! He loved to talk to them and hear their stories. I remember him buying pop for them too!

I new Don as a teacher at ALHS and later as I sub and we would talk frequently in the schools we subbed in and even at HY-VEE on occasion . My son Steven used to work for Scott Cohrs and I had no idea he was related. He was a great guy and I know he will be missed.

Mikki and loved ones. I am saddened to hear of your loss and Judy and I offer our sympathy at this time of grieving.
Getting to move in with Don in Kuwait in 1991 made a joy out of a difficult situation. Don was always upbeat, although his ability to exercise and then go right to sleep was pretty irritating to me. His handstand push-ups boggled my mind, but walking to work in the pre-dawn and discussing hopes and dreams was my delight.
Don will be missed by many.
Love never dies.
