Flora Marsh

Flora Belle Marsh, age 97, of Council Bluffs, passed away February 20, 2022 at Northcrest Living Center. Flora Belle was born July 3, 1924 in rural Pottawattamie County to the late Glen and Phyllis (Bamford) Best. She graduated high school and earned a Degree in Architecture from Iowa State University. Flora Belle married Dwight Marsh in 1954. They were blessed with son, James. Flora Belle was a landscape architect for Frank Mann & Associates for many years. She was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church; Grace Study Guild; Business & Professional Women since 1960 and was named Woman of the Year for 1977-1978. In addition to her parents, Flora Belle was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Marsh in 2000 and brother, Arnold Best in 2003. Flora Belle is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James and Shirley Marsh of Shelton, Nebraska; grandson, J.D. (Andrea) Stubbs of Ravenna, Nebraska; great-grandchildren, Mia and Evan. Funeral service, Thursday, 11 a.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Interment Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Visitation with the family, Thursday, from 10:30 a.m., until time of service at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
