Adele POSNANSKY Obituary

POSNANSKY
Adele Doris (nee Mendelsohn), 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday,
January 11, 2014 at her daughter's home in West Milford, NJ, with her children by her side.
She was born on May 19, 1936, and raised in Paterson, NJ. She resided in Paramus, NJ until 1991, when she moved to Tamarac, Florida.
A graduate of Eastside High School, she attended Indiana University and graduated from
Seton Hall University with a degree in education. She was an elementary school teacher before the birth of her children and later worked in jewelry sales throughout the years.
Adele fought a courageous five-year battle with ALS.
She was the cherished wife of the late William B. Posnansky. Adele is survived by her beloved children; Laurie H. Martin, of West Milford, NJ, Jay L. (Kathy) Martin of Lawrenceville, GA, and Sharee L. Martin of Buford, GA, her dear sister Marlene Silverman of Lansdowne, VA, her two loving nieces, Lisa (David) Silverman-Siegler of Oakton, VA, and Lois (Freddie) Silverman of Bloomington, Indiana, and her adored grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, and Jennifer Martin of Lawrenceville, GA.
Funeral Services will be held at noon on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Robert Schoem's Menorah Chapel, W-150 Rte. 4, Paramus, NJ followed by a graveside service at B'Nai Israel Ahavah Joseph Cemetery in Saddle Brook.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Adele's memory can be made to the Bloomingdale Animal Shelter or Friends of Wayne Animals.
