COOKDeacon Charles "Cookie Man", age 69, was born in Kershaw, SC. He resided in Paterson, NJ most of his life. Deacon Cook departed this life on July 7, 2010. He was employed as a Mail Handler for the U.S. Postal Service in Jersey City. He was a member of The Canaan Baptist Church, Integrity Lodge #51 (PHA), Jeremiah Chapter #13 of The Holy Royal Arch, Golconda Temple #24 A.E.O.N.M.S, Fidelity Chapter #16 and Miriam Court #14. He was predeceased by his parents John and Rosie Cook, brothers, Eddie and Melvin Cook. He is survived by his devoted wife Dorothy Foster Cook, one daughter: Veronica Cook, one son: Vincent Cook, sisters: Katherine Butler, Viola Menefee, Betty Calhoun, Addie and Peggy Cook, brothers: Richard, Ronald and John L. Cook, grandchildren: Khalil Smoot, Kamar and Kenya Cook, one great grandchild: Jeremiah Cook, godchildren, Tracy Crowley and Claudia Higgs, Zamarah and Ayana Kearney, sisters-in-law: Mary L., Mary E., Annie B. Cook, Katie Thomas, Sherry Foster, and Carol Ball, brothers-in-law: Willie, Robert, Matthew, Terry , Clifford Foster, Jimmy Calhoun and Dave Butler, special friend and cousin: Edroy Moore Sr., a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends and neighbors.Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, 8 PM at The Canaan Baptist Church 535 Rev.
