Daniel Stark Obituary
Daniel Patrick, 50, of Park Ridge, passed away Friday, September 4, 2015.
Born in Passaic, he was the son of Cas and Jean-Ellen Stark. Raised in Pompton Lakes, he graduated from high school there, and went on to earn his B.A. from Muhlenberg College. Following graduation he embarked on a career as a financial analyst for several firms in the New York City area including Mercedes Benz, American Express, and MasterCard. While employed, he earned his M.B.A. degree from Seton Hall University.
Dan is survived by his ex-wife Linda and their two children, Laura and John. He also leaves behind his parents Jean and Cas Stark, brothers Raymond and Paul Stark, sister Jennifer Stark, sister-in-law Nora Stark, and nephews Matthew and Thomas Stark.
With Linda, Daniel greatly enjoyed raising their children. He loved watching them play sports and gardening with them. But even more, he just loved playing with them.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 3-8 pm at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Pompton Reformed Church, Pompton Lakes, NJ. www.scanlanfuneralhome.com
In lieu of flowers, donations to an education fund for Laura and John Stark would be greatly appreciated by Daniel's family. Please contact the funeral home for more information.

Please accept our belated condolences as we were shocked to learn of Dan's untimely passing. Although we collaborated professionally and shared laughs together some time ago, having recently met up it was very nice to reconnect as if no time had passed. Clearly, Dan's pride and enthusiasm for his children was evident as it was the dominant portion of our conversation. What a wonderful legacy.

Dan is blessed with a family that came together to celebrate his life and to support one another. He will be so proud of his parents, siblings, Linda, and his magnificent children, John and Laura. To Linda, Laura & John and families on both sides,
We are so very sorry for the loss of Dan, whom we have known for many years as a colleague at MBUSA, a hard worker, enthusiastically interested to discuss politics and economics, a devoted father and husband. We are glad for the time he enriched our lives in many ways. After we had lived on different continents for many years it was great to reconnect and even see our kids play with each other. Let's keep the happy memories in mind and be thankful for them. May God give all of you strength, especially Laura and John the wisdom and maturity to accept, what cannot be changed and Linda and the families the strength to look forward and give them the support they need. .

I'm so very sad to hear about Danny. We were friends back in the early 90's when we were all so very young and just starting out on our post-college years. I'll never forget all of the really happy and funny times that Paul, Dan, Donna, Craig and I and the rest of our group of of friends had back then. We had a blast and I smile through tears just just thinking about Danny and those carefree days so long ago. Although we all lost touch over the years, I'll continue to keep those memories close. Dan was so smart, funny and such a great person to be around.
I pray that the many sweet memories you've made over the years as a family will help you through the really hard days ahead. Again, I'm so very sorry and will keep you all in my heart and prayers.

My deepest condolences. Having spent both my High School and College years with Danny, I have many many fond memories of our time together. Eventhough we had lost touch, I often thought of his wit and wisdom when I needed it, and will continue to do so.
