Demetrio Jimenez Obituary

JIMENEZ
Demetrio Jimenez Nieves, affectionately known as "Mr. J" or "Jimmy" entered into eternal peace on December 23, 2015. He was born on November 25, 1933 in Camuy, Puerto Rico. He moved to Paterson, NJ in 1950 then Franklin Lakes in 1995. He worked for The Susquehanna Railroad Co. for 20 yrs. Afterwards, he owned and operated several small businesses, opening Mr J's Restaurant in downtown Paterson which he operated for 18 yrs before his retirement. He was a passionate horse racing enthusiast. He will be missed by his children Jose, Jimmy, Angel, Nancy, Johnny and their mother Angelica Jimenez, as well as his loving daughters-in-law Annie, Lizzy, Lily, Janet and grand daughter-in-law Noelia plus 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his son Sixto and granddaughter Vanessa. Funeral will depart at 9:30 AM on Monday, December 28, 2015 from the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Ave., Hawthorne, for a 10:00 AM funeral mass at St. Anthony R.C. Church, Hawthorne. Interment will follow at Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Fair Lawn. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday from 5-8 PM. (www.browningforshay.com)
