Eleanor Merdo Obituary
Eleanor A. Merdo (Ludwinski) 89 of Clifton, NJ went home to God on Friday, June 29, 2018. Born and raised in Jersey City prior to settling in Clifton over 50 years ago. Mrs. Merdo was one of the founding members of CASE (Clifton Association for Special Education). She was a member of the Handicapped Scout Troop # 15 in Clifton. She also enjoyed reading and traveling with her husband George, Eleanor was a faithful former parishioner of St. John Kanty R.C. Church in Clifton.
Beloved wife of the late George Merdo. Cherished mother of Janice Meade and her husband Kevin and Gregory and Gerard Merdo. Loving grandmother of Diane Meade Golabek and her husband Andrew. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, July 2, 2018 4-8PM at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home Inc., 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410 201-797-3500. A Funeral Mass is planned for Tuesday 9:30 AM at St Clare's R.C. Church, 69 Allwood Road Clifton, NJ. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Eleanor may be made to the Clifton Adult Opportunity Center 900 Clifton Ave, Clifton NJ. 07013. For additional information please visit www.vpfairlawn.com
