He was also a great photographer. I bought a photo of his that was on display at the Belleville NJ library. Probably 20 years ago. It was an image of a waterfall. He captured the water streaming over the boulders perfectly. I met him briefly. He was very serious about his craft. A special man.

All I am all I I've done is because of you Eric. Your teachings gave me discipline to challenge myself throughout my life... But as a very young boy I was frigthen to disapoint you...
In that time, I hardly ever seen you smile when hard wok was at hand...
I was a member of St. Rocco's Cadets Drumline, and in the last two years of our drum corps was one of the very best thanks to you...
But you never let down your guard. not once did I hear from you great job of keep up the good work!
For in your heart there was much more work to be done...
You even aloud me arrange all the parts for St. Rocco's Heavy drums (I'm sure that was a first!).
In the years following St. Rocco's, I performed in the US Army and won every single talent show there was, then finally touring with the Bob Hope USO Show.
Then after serving my country, I performed with many Jazz legends, and everywhere I'd go, I'd tell everyone, I was in St. Rocco's Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps, and the man who taught me was "Eric Perrilloux!"
Outside of Drum Corps most people truly don't understand what I was talking about. But when they hear the power of my chops, they do then understand.
I'm sorry you missed St. Rocco's reunion, I would have loved to have seen you, but we did talk over the phone, and that first phone still lives in my heart...
Because after all those years you did remember our drumline, and how very proud you were of us~!
And for the very first time in my life, we shared our hearts with smiles, and all those great times playing your music.
Farewell my friend, we will meet again on the other side.......

I guess I'll break the news that besides drumming, Eric was one of the best photographers I have ever met as we were members of the Rigewood Camera Club. My minds eye will long picture your smiling face and warm greeting to wonderful memories

Fifty years ago, you took a left handed, straight bass drummer and turned him into a snare drummer in a matter of MONTHS. You must have seen something in me that I never did, you never gave up on me and for that, I will be eternally grateful. Because of you, I have finally been able to fulfill a life-long dream – playing your music this year for the first time with the NY Skyliners Alumni.
Thank you, (and thank you for the "nickname" that I will always wear as a badge of honor in your name,) and my God hold you in his hand and give comfort to your family.
May your memory live on, every time the music of the NY Skyliners is heard and enjoyed.

To the family of Eric Perrilloux
Connie and I are sincerely sorry to hear of the passing of Eric. We hope you will find peace and strength in your faith, family and friends at this time of loss.
Being a drummer all of my days it is impossible to not know of Eric and his reputation in the drumming community. I always admired his abilities and techniques and have included his efforts in the aspects of drumming I've since have taken to heart in the passing years. He has touched my life along with some many.
Thank you Eric for your devotion to family and the Drum Corps drumming community.
