Franklin IRIS Obituary
Franklin J., age 84 and a 50 year resident of Packanack Lake passed away peacefully at his home while receiving the loving care of his family.
He was born in Waterbury, CT to Harold and Alice Iris. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Fairfield University. He worked as a CPA in NJ and was also a Venture Capitalist at Alan Patricof and Associates. Furthermore, he was a Group President and Corporate Officer of Beckton-Dickinson in Franklin Lakes. Franklin served on the Board of Wayne General Hospital and also served very proudly in the US Army during the 1950's.
Franklin is survived by his wife of 57 years Joan (nee Cavanaugh) of Wayne; six daughters, Susan Iris, Kathy Gunning and her husband Terry, Jill Lewis and her husband Dave, Diane Iris, Jennifer Goff and her husband Anthony, Julie Flynn and her husband Michael; and 16 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2015 9:30AM from the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Road, Wayne then to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church where at 10:30AM a Funeral Mass will be offered. Friends may visit with the family at the Funeral Home on Monday January 12, 2015 from 5-7PM.
Committal services at the cemetery will be held privately.
