Helen Lanaras Obituary
Helen, 97, of Little Falls, NJ, passed away on February 25, 2017. Funeral services will begin on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 9:00 AM at Shook's Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Ave., Cedar Grove, NJ. Funeral Mass will be offered at Our Lady of the Holy Angels Church, Little Falls, at 10:00 AM, with interment following at St. Peter's Greek Catholic Cemetery, Garfield, NJ. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home. Memories and condolences may be shared at shookscedargrove.com.
Born in Holyoke, MA to Adolph and Mary (Chruscia) Turowski, she lived in New York City and Carlstadt, NJ before settling in Little Falls over 53 years ago. Helen was a homemaker, devoted to the care of her family.
Predeceased by her parents, her husband, James J., and granddaughter, Kelly, she is survived by her children, Patricia Miller (Richard), James Lanaras, Jr., Carol Amico, Phillip Lanaras, Thomas Lanaras (Katherine), Maria Blum, and Dennis Lanaras (Rita); a sister, Alice Fabrizio; fourteen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
