Jeanette Schipper Obituary

SCHIPPER - Jeanette (nee Ten Kate) age 94, died peacefully on Saturday, December 16, 2006 at the Holland Christian Home in North Haledon. Jeanette was born in Midland Park on December 25, 1911. She lived in Wyckoff for 57 years before moving to the Holland Christian Home in 1994. In her early career, Jeanette was a school teacher in the Midland Park Christian School. She was a member of the Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church in Wyckoff, and was former accompanist for the Messiah Choir. Surviving is her son Richard Schipper and his wife Trudy of Wyckoff, five grandchildren, Wayne and his wife Cheryl, Wendy and her husband Ray Van Grouw, Warren and his wife Lois, Sharon and her husband Al Berry, and Peter. She also leaves 14 adoring great grandchildren. Jeanette was pre-deceased by her husband Richard Schipper in 1993 and her brother James Ten Kate in 1991. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10:30 AM at the Chapel of the Holland Christian Home, 151 Graham Avenue, North Haledon. Interment will follow at the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. Visiting is Tuesday 7-9 PM and Wednesday 9:30-10:30 AM at the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Eastern Christian School Association, 50 Oakwood Ave. North Haledon, NJ 07508, or the Holland Christian Home. www.vpfh.com
