John Sabak Obituary
John, 91, of Clifton, passed away on November 20, 2012. Born in South River, New Jersey, Mr. Sabak resided in North Arlington from 1951 to 1988. He has lived in Clifton since 1988. Before his retirement, Mr. Sabak was employed as the Chief X-Ray Technician at West Hudson Hospital in Kearny, where his career spanned 48 years.
Mr. Sabak was a veteran of the United States Navy having served from 1939 to 1945 during World War II. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart as a result of an injury received while serving.
He was predeceased by one sister, Suzanne Kramer and his brother, Michael Sabak.
Survivors include: his beloved wife of 61 years, Marie (nee Acocella); his devoted son, Gary M. Sabak of Clifton; two sisters, Mary Geiger and Anna Sabak, both of South Carolina; and two loving nieces, Mae Silver and Darlene Lynch.
Funeral services will be Saturday 10:15 AM from the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton and 11 AM at Grace Church, 200 Highfield Lane, Nutley. Private cremation to follow. Visiting will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Paramus Catholic High School Marching Band, 425 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ 07652. Please visit www.bizub.com for driving directions and online condolences.

John was always my HERO, he was part of the GREAT GENERATION who served the country with honor and dedication. He was loved and will be missed by his family, friends and especially his extended family. You will always be in my thoughts Uncle John.
