Joseph Guartafierro Obituary
Mr. Guartafierro was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. He worked for American Field Service, New York City, for more than 30 years.
Services were Tuesday at St. Bonaventure Church, Paterson. Arrangements were by the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the John Theurer Cancer Center, Multiple Myeloma Division; Hackensack Hospital; or to Valley Hospice, 15 Essex Road, Suite 301, Paramus, NJ 07652.
Mr. Guartafierro is survived by his wife, the former Jill Bergquist; his sons, Joseph and Scott; and his granddaughter, Samantha.
He was predeceased by his parents, Angelo and Adeline.

My condolences to Jill, Joe, & Scott. Mr. G was a kind man and I always enjoyed talking with him and listening to his many stories. He will be greatly missed. R.I.P. sweet soul.
