Joseph Ramm Obituary
Caldwell - Mr. Joseph A. Ramm, 93, died on November 27, 2018 at St. Catherine of Siena Healthcare Center in Caldwell, NJ.
A Funeral Mass will be offered in St. Aloysius Church, 219 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell on Friday, November 30 at 10:30 am. Friends may visit with the family on Friday morning in the Church from 9 am until the time of the Mass. (Condolences may be left at www.proutfuneralhome.com)
Born in Paterson, Mr. Ramm lived in Totowa for 48 years and in Brick for 16 years prior to moving to Caldwell last July.
He served with the US Navy in the Pacific aboard the USS Pasadena during WW2, returning to NJ in 1946 and receiving a degree in Education from Seton Hall University.
Mr. Ramm taught at Memorial School in Woodland Park for 32 years, retiring in 1990.
He is survived by his wife, Angela (nee Cantisano) Ramm; his children, Sr. Luella Ramm, OP and Daniel Ramm; his grandchildren, Daniel Ramm, Jr., Joseph Ramm (Stephanie Reed), Kristin Boyd (Colin), Brielle Ramm (Dominick Innella) and Robert Ramm and his great grandchildren, Anthony, Quinn and Michael.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sisters of St. Dominic, 1 Ryerson Avenue, Caldwell, NJ 07006 would be appreciated.
