Joyce Knott Obituary

Joyce Knott, 76, died Aug. 16, at the Morristown Memorial Hospital.

Born in Dover, she had lived in Jefferson Twp. since 1966.

Knott graduated from Dover High School and then earned a degree in licensed practical nurse program at the Morris County Vo-Tech School.

She worked at Dover General Hospital and Saint Clare's Hospital as a medical surgical nurse and later as a pediatric nurse until she retired in 1996.

Knott is survived by her children, Douglas Manser and his wife, Angela, Stephen Manser and his wife, Penny, of Morris Plains, Timothy Manser, Jeffrey Knott and his wife, Meg, and Kimmie Su DeSouza and her husband, Aldo; her nine grandchildren, Chris, Greg, Todd, Lauren, Jamie, Tyler, Abigail, Matthew, and Jason; her five great grandchildren, Daniel, Nathan, Ashley, Devlin, and Damien; and a sister Patricia Pisorchik, of Bethany Beach, Del.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Knott, and her two brothers, Robert and Alan Van Kirk.

Memorial service was held at the Lower Berkshire Valley United Methodist Church in Wharton. Arrangements were under direction of the Norman Dean Home for Services in Denville. In lieu of flowers, donations to the N.J. Foundation for the Blind, 230 Diamond Spring Rd., Denville, NJ 07834 or online donation www.njffb.org would be appreciated.
