Karolina Marut Obituary

MARUT
Karolina (nee Koc), 83, of Statesville, NC, on Wednesday, August 29, 2012. Born in Bojanow, Poland, she came to the United States in 1967, lived in Wallington for 40 years before moving to Statesville 4 years ago. She was a seamstress for clothing manufacturers in Passaic for 24 years retiring in 1991, and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union of New York. She was a former parishioner of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus R.C. Church in Wallington. Karolina was the beloved wife of the late John Marut, devoted mother of Adam Marut, and his wife Elizabeth, of Fairfield, Walter Marut, and his wife Mary, of Clifton, Helen Gela, Agnes Jakubowski, and her husband Adam, Kazimiera Kobylarz, and her husband Zygmunt, all of Statesville, NC, and Wendy Pniewski of Rockford, IL, loving grandmother of thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, dear sister of Jan Koc and Maria Gusciora, both in Poland, and the late Stanislawa Kupiec. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Saturday, 8:30 AM, from the Kamienski Funeral Home, 106 Locust Avenue, Wallington, and 9:00 AM at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus R.C. Church, Wallington. Interment St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack. Visiting Friday 5 - 9 PM ONLY.
