Lorenzo Moore

MOORE
Lorenzo Wendell, was born on November 24, 1929 in Paterson, NJ. He was the youngest of five children born to the late Ethel Brown (nee Clark) and Henry Moore. Lorenzo attended Paterson Public Schools. He later joined the army in 1952 where he served in the Korean War. In 1958, he married Louise Sermond and from this union five children were born. Lorenzo was employed by Continental Can and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 27 years. Upon retiring in 1990, Lorenzo and Louise relocated to Lake Wales, Florida where they lived for 18 years. He and his bride returned to Paterson in 2009. He departed this life on January 15, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Louise Harriet Moore, five children: Joyce Denise Moore, Arnett Wendell Moore (Pamela), Deidra Andretta Joyner (Kenny), Zina Kim Van Rensalier (Dale) and Teresa Darcelle Moore-Smith along with one special "daughter" Michante Stuart, eight grandchildren: Tanessa Jefferson, Avery Jefferson (Yvonne), Sequoya Howard (John), Mikaya Warren (Kevin), Devan Moore, Tevin Moore, Darien Van Rensalier , Damani Van Rensalier and two special "grandchildren", Kaleif McLaurin and Kaylah Stuart, six great-grandchildren: Teresa Jefferson, Avery Jefferson, Ashley Jefferson, Zaire Jefferson, Kimaya Warren and Kaylin Warren and three great-great-grandchildren: Mi'Angel Gibson, Ahmari Gibson and Za'mir Prince, two sisters: Aimee Woodton and Olivia Jackson, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by one sister: Ruby Williams, one brother: Quentin Moore and two nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, 12:00 noon at The The First A.M.E. Zion Church, 326 Ellison St., Paterson, NJ. Interment: Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
