Margaret Petrasek Obituary

PETRASEK
Margaret (nee Siroka), 89, of Garfield died Sunday.
Born in Beaver Meadows, PA, Mrs. Petrasek was orphaned at the age of eight and raised by her stepbrother, Steve Kaminski and his wife Sophie in Garfield and resided there since. She had been employed at Presto Lock Co of Garfield, Popular Club Plan of Passaic and retired from Hoffman-LaRoche Co. of Nutley.
Mrs. Petrasek was a parishioner of Ss. Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church, Clifton and did volunteer work at the church.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Petrasek in 1995.
Survivors include: her daughter, Beverly Keegan and her husband Ronald of Rutherford and Joseph Petrasek, Jr and his wife Anne of McKinney, TX; her six grandchildren, James, Christine and Raymond Keegan and Lauren, Kaitlyn and Sara Jo Petrasek and her five great grandchildren, Megan, Kylie and Molly Keegan, Luci and Joey Petrasek.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 515 Lexington Ave., Clifton. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Visitation on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Please accept my sympathies on the loss of your mother.
I have fond memories of her, especially growing up in Garfield.
One of my favorites was when she'd call to my mother to have her whistle for the "kids" to come home.
